Peter Wilson is a Clinical and Educational Psychologist who has more than 20 years-experience working in Clinical, Educational and Developmental Psychology. This includes working in clinical private practice, schools, universities, early intervention / preschool, forensic, behavioural intervention and disability services.

Peter works with people of all ages and some of his many areas of interest and experience are in child and adolescent mental health, education, and management of autism, attention deficit, intellectual, learning and other issues. Diagnosis and assessment involve direct 1:1 client work and where appropriate input with parents, schools and other services.

Peter’s interests are in the areas of childhood, adolescence and young- adults development and treats anxiety, depression, OCD, ODD, stress, addictions, sleep and motivation problems, PTSD, pain management, school problems and neurodiversity (ASD, ADHD, LD, ID.) and perceptual difficulties including psychoses and thought disorders. Peter has significant experience and expertise working with people from culturally, ethnically and gender diverse populations and works in collaboration with medical practitioners and specialists in assessment, case formulation and treatment plans.

Peter offers a wide range of evidenced based therapies that include but not limited to Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Brief-Solution Focused therapies. He also is a trained practitioner in Eye Movement Desensitization and Re-processing (EMDR) which assists in the treatment of trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
