Kate Woods together with her team and assistant Diana O’keefe have wide experience working alongside many teams, schools and allied health professionals.  Her passion is liaising with teachers, parents and her Senior OT team, seeing the benefits of therapy in a practical and tangible way.
Kate has enjoyed building valuable relationships with her schools over the past years and enjoys the support that she is able to offer to parents and teachers alike. Kate specialises in the area of sensory regulation and the flow on affect to development of positive behavioural habits. Kate loves engaging with children and helping to be a cheer leader for their development!

Kate says, “Our fabulous team of occupational therapists work to support your child learn who they are and how they work best, whether this be at school or at home with family and friends”.

Kate is an advisor for OT Australia around the areas of OT integration with the Education Department, eg- how schools and kinders work together. Kate has recently been to Boston to train with the social thinking program. Her area of speciality is taking a holistic approach as we consider the child and how we can work to help them embrace their level of comfort. She looks at the mini steps around sensory and emotional regulation, motor planning, executive functioning and social skills amongst other aspects as we work to help the child be the best they can whilst helping parents to support the stage of where there child is at, as well as next steps to create a positive approach.

Diana O’Keeffe – Allied Health Assistant/ OT Support

Diana is an intricate part of our OT team; she provides a caring and nurturing approach. She works to provide support and children and families particularly when it comes to our ever so important body exercises. You may have the pleasure of meeting Di as she works to compliment to OT program that will be developed for your child. She is a ever experienced mother of 2 grown up children and also comes from a background of being an integration support. She is also progressing in her training around the social thinking program and specialises in motor planning, sensory and emotional regulation.
